This classic modernist in the center of Chapel Hill is known by its new, iconic “Butterfly” roof and central courtyard. The plans for the original ranch home were drawn by the first owner, Richard Hocks, while he was a Ph.D. student at UNC-Chapel Hill. The original builder was Ed Mann.
